Station Guide
Osaka Station is a major hub connected to the Umeda commercial district, one of Osaka's busiest areas. The station complex has been redeveloped into a modern commercial center with department stores, restaurants, and the Umeda Sky Building nearby.
💡 Tip: Umeda Underground City connects 5 stations without going outside.
The South Gate leads to Daimaru department store and the Umeda Sky Building (10 min walk). The North Gate connects to Grand Front Osaka and Lucua shopping malls. The East Gate is closest to the Hanshin and Hankyu department stores.
JR conventional lines (Kobe Line, Kyoto Line, Takarazuka Line, Osaka Loop Line), Hankyu Railway, Hanshin Railway, Osaka Metro Midosuji Line (via underground walkway). For Shinkansen, transfer to Shin-Osaka Station (4 min by JR Kyoto Line).
The B1 food floor (depachika) in Daimaru and Hankyu has an incredible selection of Osaka specialties including takoyaki, okonomiyaki, and kushikatsu. For a sit-down meal, try the 10th floor restaurant floors in either department store.
